How to get to CIBNOR?
CIBNOR is located 20 kilometers north of the city of La Paz, near the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. The city was founded by Hernán Cortes in 1535 .
La Paz has a population of approximately 260,000 and clean and calm beaches. Temperature in the region varies from 24º C during the day in the winter season and up to 40º C during the summer. Being the capital of the State of Baja California Sur, and in spite of its geographical isolation, it has air, land, and sea transportation.
Main communication services are:
La Paz has flights connecting to different national and international cities in its International Airport "General Manuel Marquez de León". The servicing Mexican airlines are: Aeroméxico Connect, Volaris, Viva Aerobus, and Alaska Airlines.
Also, the International Airport of Los Cabos in San José del Cabo is located approximately 180 km south of La Paz with connections to the United States and Mexico. The airlines that provide services in this airport are: Aeroméxico, Aeromexico Connect, Volaris, InterJet, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and US Airways.
Sea transportation is provided by Baja Ferries www.bajaferries.com to different port destinations in Mexico:

The Transpeninsular Highway in the Baja California peninsula connects La Paz to the north with the cities of Ensenada B.C., Tijuana B.C. and Mexicali B.C., these two last ones bordering the United States, and to the south with the Municipality of Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo).
