Diving and Fleet

This Laboratory provides the following services:

• Support in scientific diving activities: assessment, prospecting and taking submarine samples;
• Collection of organisms and sampling in aquatic environments (showing the corresponding permits);
• Support in specialized activities (installing equipment, experiments, and sub-aquatic systems).
• Consultancy in research project activities with SCUBA DIVING equipment to reinforce safety of CERTIFIED personnel that require submarine activities.
• Support in preparing transportation of samples and organisms to the laboratories for their study, deriving from the aquatic activities performed.

Mantain 4 coastal vessels at the disposition of the research projects, mainly for their use within the Bay of La Paz. These vessels have an action range based on the capacity of the boat and motor horsepower:

• Trips in the Bay of La Paz and insular complexes;
  
• Inlet of La Paz and coastal area of the bay;
  
• Support in the collection of organisms with different fishing arts.
