Histology and Histochemistry Laboratory

Ma. del Carmen Rodríguez Jaramillo, M.S.

She joined CIBNOR as a technician since 1988, and has participated in different research projects on ecology and fisheries of marine resources. She strengthened the histology lab in 1994 with the support of several research projects related to reproduction of important organisms in aquaculture. These projects produced several scientific international refereed articles. Her collaboration in articles related to reproductive biology has made her co-author and author of 9 and 2 articles, respectively. She has participated in 14 international conferences dealing with reproductive biology of Penaeus californiensis, Penaeus stylirostris, Litopenaeus vannamei, Argopecten circularis, Haliotis fulgen, Penulirus interruptus, Panulirus inflatus, Atrina maura, and Pinctada mazatlanica. Her experience in education includes teaching histology courses applied to aquaculture and advising students in histological techniques and in tissue image analysis. She is currently in charge of this Laboratory.

María Eulalia Meza Chávez

She is a professional technician in aquaculture. She joined CIBNOR since May 16, 1991 working for the Fisheries Modeling and Prediction Laboratory. She currently works as technician in the Histology and Histochemistry Laboratory where she has participated in several research projects. She handles histological techniques applied to marine invertebrates and vertebrates and offers technical training to students.
