General Objectives
- Conservation, development, selection, and propagation of plant germplasm by using biotechnological tools.
- Propagation and development of plants with phytopharmaceutical and nutraceutical potential.
Specific Objectives
- Propagation by tissue culture through organogenesis of selected Paulownia plants and 3 chiltepín ecotypes.
- Adaptation of micropropagated plants in ex vitro conditions.
- Transplant of micropropagated plants to field conditions quantifying survival
- Experimenting ranks of drought and salinity stress in selected species of Paulownia.
- Assessing mixed cultivation development using chile chiltepín plants
- Quantifying capsaicin and capsaicinoid content of the different chile chiltepín studied.
- Germplasm maintenance of selected Damiana by micropropagation.
- Assessing antioxidant source potential of damiana, oregano, chiltepín, and paulownia, mainly.
